Hot Stone Massage an Important Learning Module of an Aromatherapy Course

aromatherapy course
Aromatherapy programs mainly focus on teaching the apprentices with different body massages like Swedish massage therapy, Thai massage, Balinese massage, Swedish massage, reiki, reflexology, Javanese Lulur, Kansa massage, deep tissue massage etc. Another integral learning module of this program is hot stone massage.

Under the hot stone massage learning module of an aromatherapy course, the learners will  become familiar with hot stone massage treatment for encouraging intense muscle relaxation,  blood circulation and energizing the soul by placing soft, water-heated crystals and stones at the body parts of a client that are suffering from pain and stress. The learners will discover the use of different sized stones such as the large ones on the large muscles, smaller ones on smaller muscles. They will also become skilled at incorporating freezing marble stones and crystals into the beauty regimen.

Students will also gain knowledge of slotting in a modified massage for the customers by using hot stones. Learners will also get acquainted with human anatomy, muscles and bones of the body and treating body pain with various Asian therapies.

Over the years the aromatherapy courses have become extremely popular among the students because the health and wellness industry is considered to be recession proof and is worth millions of bucks. However, it not only garners lucrative jobs but also develops a holistic approach among the future practitioners towards healing people.

The advanced aromatherapy programs also teach the learners

•    Protecting their hands when they are working and ensuring the client’s safety

•    Application of various massage equipments and techniques

•    Using stones to pierce deeply into the muscle fibers so that the clients get maximum relief from pain and stress.

Other fundamental  modules of the course includes deep exfoliation, holistic skincare nutrition, body wrap, therapeutic oil recipes, massage procedures like petrissage, tapotement, effleurage, origin of the essential oils and diluting them, safety and contra- Indications etc. The curriculum of the courses differs from one beauty schools to another.

After successfully completing an aromatherapy course, the apprentices can get the license and become a professional. They can offer their massage services in spas, five star hotels and tropical resorts. They can also become an autonomous service provider by working not only for general customers but corporate clients as well. They can also sell essential oils and cosmetics by starting their own aromatherapy departmental store.

Most of the courses use case studies, hands-on training and internships to impart the useful information to the students. Knowledge is further enriched with weekend seminars and workshops taking place at the campus along with interactive classes between the learners and mentors. Trustworthy beauty and cosmetology academies have proficient tutors and state of the art facilities.

The cosmetology is one of the fastest growing industry and the aromatherapy programs can certainly help you to get a foothold in it.
